Melt he butter in the pan on low heat

This is probably the quickest recipe ever: it a succulent Italian recipe for filled types of pasta like: tortelloni, cappelletti, ravioli and others

Cooking time 8 minutes

Ingredients for 2 people

  • Fresh Tortelloni, Spinach & Ricotta 300g link
  • Butter: 2 cube 1 cm size per side circa (if you like you can put more)
  • 1 pinch of dried sage of 4 leaves of fresh sage
  • Salt for the water
  • Ground black pepper (optional)
  • Grated grana cheese or parmesan or pecorino romano (optional)

  1. Boil 1 litre water in a kattle
  2. Put the water in a pan with high heat
  3. Add a pinch of salt
  4. Add the tortelloni
  5. Cook for 4 minutes (see cooking instructions and cook for 1 minute less then stated on the cooking instructions)
  6. Heat up the butter and the sage on medium heat after you put the tortelloni in the water, in a non stick pan
  7. Drain the tortelloni and pour them in the pan with the butter and sage
  8. Fry for 1 minute in the pan with butter and sage
  9. Serve on a plate and top with a bit of grated cheese and black pepper (if you want)

Cost of this recipe: around 2 pounds for 2 people

Nutricional information: pasta is mainly carbohydrates which provide energy to your body that you use during the day. Regarding the fat content of the tortelloni: the filling I used, 5 cheese, contains 7.5 grams of fat which is only 10% of the guideline for daily assumption. Then you have to consider the butter you added, which is probably around 15 gramms. Still you are in line with your daily GDA assuming that you have 3 meal per day.

My over all consideration is that if you have half a pack of Tortelloni for your lunch a couple of times a week it shouldn’t hurt..
